The charming Toronto house that Meghan Markle maintained during her time on the USA network series Suits has been sold for $1.4 million after just five days on the market, as reported by Mansion Global. The undisclosed buyer even managed to snag a small discount, purchasing the property slightly under the listed price.
The actress, who would later become the Duchess of Sussex, rented the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home during her time as paralegal Rachel Zane on the legal drama. Markle moved out of the residence in 2017 when she and her husband Prince Harry upgraded to Kensington Palace after publicly debuting their relationship at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto. Will the newest owner of this contemporary two-story house enjoy a similar glamorous fate? Only time will tell.
“Meg was excited to show me her life, her dogs, her little house, which she adored,” Harry recalled in his 2023 memoir Spare. A Los Angeles native, Markle added some Southern California-inspired touches to the residence during her stay, as revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair. The house featured vignettes of crisp white interrupted by pops of color and well-organized bookshelves.
The A-frame residence boasts a plum-painted exterior with a covered-entry porch. Inside, a turquoise front door leads to the modern eat-in kitchen with white cabinetry, a tiled backsplash, and open shelving. A wooden staircase with a glass barrier descends into a finished basement rec room featuring ample built-in storage, a white marble accent wall, a hidden laundry area, and a bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower and a spacious vanity. Despite the charming details found throughout the home, the tree-lined backyard patio stands out as its most stunning feature, offering plenty of space for outdoor entertainment and dining.
